I grew up in South Korea and now live in Mainz, Germany . I have experienced multi-culture and most of what I understand about communication, I learned through my experiences. Having lived in 3 different continents, I know what people what globally and individually and would like to transfer that to a professional level work.
That’s the work I care about and would like to pursue: making sure a brand, a message, or a person is understood the way they meant to be, in whichever language and culture they’ve landed in.
Marketing, to me, is applied cross-cultural communication. Every campaign is a small act of translation of value, tone, and intent for a specific audience.
I don’t just collect trends, I read them. I watch how audiences, social media and pop culture move, condense what I see into clear insights, and turn those into concrete ideas for content and campaigns. My academic background trained me to see why something works; my work in Korea and Germany taught me to act on it fast.
Korean, English and German are working tools for me, not bullet points. I work in a German-speaking office every week.
I love to work in efficient ways and I am a fast learner. I adopt new things fast and use them as a tool for the next working days.
I read audiences, social media and pop culture, condense what I see into clear learnings, and turn them into brand and content ideas. Spotting a trend is easy; knowing what to do with it is the job.
Across roles in Korea and Germany, supervisors have described me the same way: someone who knows how to work, moves quickly, and delivers without hand-holding.
AI tools are part of my daily workflow, from research and copy to visuals. I designed and built this entire website with them. Directing the tools, not being replaced by them but rather know how to use them at work.
